CASTELLANO

1197 nombres de personas desaparecidas, muy probablemente asesinadas, evocadas por 1197 voces de personas, de diferentes paises, culturas, sexo, religion, raza, opiniones politicas o edades. Convocadas a través de Internet o invitadas por un amigo. 1197 voces que se harán presentes en una obra musical gracias a una cadena de correos electrónicos, de avisos en listas de discusión, en fin, por todos los medios que nos ofrece hoy esta posibilidad de comunicarnos y compartir ideas el mundo virtual.

Tal vez sea esta una buena manera de hablar de mundialización.

1197 nombres de personas desaparecidas, nombradas por otras tantas vivas. Quizá no sea extraño que tantos quieran participar de algo como esto, tal vez alguien nos engaña y los seres humanos seamos más solidarios de lo que parece.

El evocar estos 1197 nombres no hará reaparecer a quienes ya no están, pero creo que es una manera de mantener la memoria viva, de insistir en que Nunca Más. Ni en Chile, ni en ningún otro pais.

Pero en definitiva esta será una obra musical. Una obra electroacústica en ocho canales. Realizada con todo lo anterior en mente, y con el mayor respeto por los familiares de las personas que evocaremos en ella, más, la creación siempre sera primero un problema de arte, y es en un lenguaje artístico-musical en el que ella se resolverá.

La composición de esta obra, así como su edición en disco compacto, es financiada por el Fondo de la Música Nacional del Consejo de la Cultura del Gobierno de Chile.

1197 será estrenada en Octubre 2007 en el Festival de Música Electroacústica de Santiago « Ai-Maako », al mismo tiempo que será editado mi disco [In]DISCIPLINA, del cual 1197 formará parte.

1197 names of disappeared people, more likely assassinated, evoked by 1197 voices of people of different countries, cultures, sex, political religion, race, opinions, and/or ages. Gathered through the internet or invited by a friend, these 1197 voices will be presented in a musical work thanks to an aggregate of electronic mail, notices on discussion lists, in short, utilizing all methods that today offer us the possibility of communicating and sharing ideas the virtual world.

Perhaps it is a this good way to speak of globalization.

1197 names of people disappeared, named by other so many living ones. Perhaps it seems strange that so many people want to participate in something like this, possibly we have been deceived and human beings share more in common than we have been led to believe.

Evoking these 1197 names will not cause the reappearance of those who no longer are, but I believe that it is a way to keep the memory alive, to insist Never More. Neither in Chile, nor in any other country.

Ultimately, this will be a musical work. An electroacoustic work using eight channels. Realized with the above in mind, and with the greatest respect for the relatives of the people who we will evoke in her [the art work], moreover, the act of creation is always the first challenge of art, and it is in an artistic-musical language in which this challenge will be fulfilled.
